This blog was created as a means of support to those who have lost someone to suicide, or are grieving the death of a loved one. Grief is messy and complicated. The more we learn about it, the easier it makes it for us to get through to a place of peace. This is part of my healing process, to share my grief with others. This is raw; this is real and uncomfortable. I'm putting it all out there for you to see.
Although my situation is a bit different, what helped me the most was not reading the serious stuff. I know and I'm guilty of it, but we read and read and read hoping to find an answer or something that sparks us. For the moment, it feels good to know that you are not the only one going through a difficult time. Eventually the negative self-talk, feelings of hopelessness, and depression sets in. You feel like you're waddling in the mud unable to get out, not good! Staying inside that world of hurt feels comfortable and cushy but sooner or later you'll feel dry and spent. Try listening to and reading Brene Brown, her words helped me a lot... see her Ted Talk on vulnerability... http://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_on_vulnerability
