A Young Widow's Blog

This blog was created as a means of support to those who have lost someone to suicide, or are grieving the death of a loved one. Grief is messy and complicated. The more we learn about it, the easier it makes it for us to get through to a place of peace. This is part of my healing process, to share my grief with others. This is raw; this is real and uncomfortable. I'm putting it all out there for you to see.

About Me

My photo
S.- Young Widow
In 2012 my husband hanged himself in our garage. My son (3 & 1/2 at the time) and I found him together. This was a traumatizing experience that changed our lives immediately and forever. I became a widow at a very young age (35), much younger than I should have been. My grief experience and my son's grief experience has been a hard journey that is not over yet. I write in the hopes to help any other widows or grievers, even if by one phrase or sentence.
